About
Hello! I’m Malcolm, a software engineering student at the University of Victoria.
In my free time, I participate in various clubs at UVic like Vikelabs and Vikesec. I’m passionate about sharing my interest in development and security with others, and these clubs are a way to share that spark with others. If you have a spark for security especially, you might find our CTF challenges fun so check them out! (2023, 2024)
I also work on various projects in my free time, which you can view on my GitHub. Some of my projects are made out of a personal interest in learing deeply about a subject, like this prototype for a mesh VPN control plane that works behind NAT devices. Other projects were made to help myself and others, like this UVIC schedule exporter, or this quick price comparison website for a nearby liquor store. And some project are just silly, like breaking GitHub’s cache to show a random cat picture, or making an Omegle clone that uses your location instead of your camera!
I also might post every now and then about whatever I’m working on. Feel free to check them out! And if you ever want to chat, I’d love to hear from you! Send me an email at malcolm [at] seyd [dot] ca and I’ll get back when I can.
